The Ogunquit Memorial Library has been open for curbside services since June 1st.

There are three ways to order library materials:

Once you make a request a staff member will contact you to arrange a pick up time. For everyone’s safety we will not be honoring walk-up requests without an appointment. Our pickup time slots will run every 15 minutes for the following hours:

    •    Tuesday 9:15 -11:45

    •    Wednesday 2:15- 4:45

    •    Thursday 9:15 -11:45

    •    Friday 2:15- 4:45

    •    Saturday 9:15 -11:45

Please call us when you arrive, stay in your vehicle, and we will place your items in a bag with your name on it on top of the Book Drop.

We ask our patrons to follow standard social-distancing measures and wear a mask while waiting outside.

You can return your items only to the Library’s Book Drop.

All returned library materials will be quarantined for three days (72 hours) before being re-circulated.

Circulation period is 2 weeks; we encourage you to take out more older items than you normally would to limit the number of times you have to make a trip to the library.

Perhaps you wish to revisit an old favorite or discover a vintage author? If more of our older items circulate, we will have a larger selection of materials for everyone.

Don’t worry, we are still purchasing all the newest bestsellers and they are available to all – but we do ask that you return those after 2 weeks to give others access to them.

Fines will not be enforced or collected. This will eliminate the handling of money and unnecessary social contact. However, library materials that are not returned after 6 months will be billed at retail replacement cost.

Maine libraries are supporting inter library loans at this time.

If you think you have a suggestion that would have a wide audience, let us know. We will consider ordering it for Ogunquit’s collection.
